The Polar Coachman Fly Fishers are proud to protect the waters they fish while ensuring regulations are not unnecessarily prohibitive. Several regulation changes have been implemented in Region 7A for 2025-2027. These regulation changes are a direct result of the influence local clubs can have on regulatory bodies. Our voice counts! Be sure to join a local club if you are passionate about conservation, fishing, hunting, and outdoor recreation.
Regulation changes supported by the Polar Coachman Fly Fishers:
Anzac River - Changes to no fishing areas and fly fishing only areas. No fishing within a 500m radius of the Upper Anzac bridge, August 15 to March 31. Fly Fishing only July 1 - March 31 upstream of the North Anzac River confluence.
Stellako RIver - No Fishing regulations changed. The Stellako no opens May 15! Woohoo!
WIcheeda Lake - Rainbow trout daily quota = 1 (none over 40cm)
Verdant Lake - Rainbow trout daily quota = 1 (none over 40cm)
